Phased Approach

There was a family get together of children's in US and parents progressing their journey all the way from Saudi-India-US. It was a phased approach wherein sequential progress was made at each and every step. Short term planning was given more importance than long term planning. Various parts were united with progressive phases to get larger picture.

  • Planning: Resource availability along with the time duration match for those resources was addressed primarily and thankfully things went as planned. Having taken care of those things, next step was flight and hotel booking for which we are very much thankful to www.priceline.com wherein we can bet on the hotel stay depending on the location of our stay. Next was to decide on places to visit taking into account the time duration of 11 days. We wanted to enjoy as a family, so renting car was but obvious option in which priceline was again the helpful tool.
  • Prototype: Next step was to prepare rough estimate of number of hours/days to be allotted to each and every place depending on the optimal utilization of that place along with things to enjoy over there.
  • Mapping: Google maps came to our rescue for linking the parts(individual places) into whole(places linkage) and getting the real prototype of how our journey is going to look like.
  • Execution: Planning, prototype and Mapping was ready before leaving with mind storming again leaded by my brother. Consequently, Implementation and enjoyment phases were taken care off by heart rather than engaging mind into it. But agreed that planning was the most crucial factor and base for our enjoyment.

We felt like we are now ready to board our journey without any hassles. Are you with us? Tighten your seat belt as we get started with Boston as our first destination.
