Spring ICE
Think about the situation where you change position on either sides of the table in small span of time. The table is not normal but its between recruiter and job seeker.
About a year ago, I was on the other side of the table with resume in my hand and searching for the potential employer with excitement to know about who all are hiring for job positions. Today (10th Feb) was the day when the sides changed. I was on the recruiting side with opportunity to talk to 4-5 students and checking their interest in working for IT services. Our team is looking for the intern who can get some experience by working in real world projects.
Day started early around 10:20 am where we went to the venue to arrange the tables setup for our booth for recruiting. HR and myself took all materials needed to set bottles, beach balls, candies, board display etc for our table. We had 2 tickets for lunch starting from 11am. I went with HR and had free lunch together.
This was the first internship recruiting event and we were successful in getting minimum of 12 resumes by the time I left at 3:30 pm for some work in office. Event was from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm and the students looked interested working for Miami University in midst of many big corporate companies hiring for summer intern.
Tides always change, just have to wait for favorable one to set the ride on again. Must be nice to relive some moments, reflect and feel proud about the journey. Hope this adds further to the fuel of progress.
